Website check bot

Validfold checks a website when someone submits its address. Our bot visits a small sample of public pages and images to find issues.

What it does

Each check is brief. The bot reads website content without logging in, submitting forms or changing anything on your site.

Allow the Validfold crawler

If your website blocks the check, ask your hosting provider to allow requests from these addresses with validfold in the user agent:

Allow access to public pages only. Keep other security protections in place, then try again.

Limit access

You can limit further visits using your site's robots.txt rules. The page someone submits is still checked. Your hosting provider can help set these limits.
