Fold 1How long does SEO take?
Google sets no fixed timeline. A new page can appear within days, and Google suggests waiting a few weeks before judging a change.
Fold 2When does Google find a new website?
Google says a new page can take a few days to appear on Google after it’s posted. For a new website, Google allows a week or so to start crawling and indexing, and up to a few weeks to crawl the rest.
You can ask Google to crawl a page with URL Inspection in Search Console, or many pages by submitting a sitemap. This might speed things up, but indexing is never instant, and Google doesn’t index every page it crawls.
Fold 3When can you judge a change?
Some changes show in Google Search within a few hours; others take several months. Google suggests waiting a few weeks before deciding whether a change helped. To judge it, compare the same number of days before and after the change in Search Console’s Performance report.
